Setting goals should be categorized into a certain time scale

Short Term Goals,

Medium Goals,

Long Term Goals,

• 3 to 5 Years (you may wish to change these time scales to suit the individual).

I personally have set myself goals which are lasting up to 10 years!!

Here is some advice in setting your Personal, Business and Life Goals

• Have a brainstorming session on what your short, medium and long term goals are. But please remember to write these down on a pad of paper or even on your computer

• Set a time scale for each and every goal that you set, otherwise absolutely nothing will be achieved!

• On a tight budget? or maybe not, my advise is to purchase a notice board. The reason for doing this is so you can pin up pictures of a house you want to purchase, a car you’ve always wanted and a place or holiday destination you’ve always want to visit (again be realistic though!).

Have notes dotted around the house, in your wallet or purse and even beside your bed, so it is the last thing you see at night and the first thing you will see in the morning.

By visualising your goals makes it powerful and exciting, plus it keeps the juices flowing every day!

• As your goals are achieved and you grow, so will your goals. When each goal is accomplished, celebrate; go let your
hair down. But remember to focus on the next one you have lined up…..

• In your planning, make time to sit down to have a meeting with yourself at the end of every week. Focus on what has been accomplished, also focus on what the following week goals are.

• Something to remember though….Do not be put off by set backs THAT’S LIFE! adjust and move on.

The reasons why setting goals are extremely important for your success. It gives the individual goals in life, some thing to aim towards and stops boredom setting in! It can make a massive difference to your life.
